Our first zine release is an amazing book of poetry by Kristen Stone which features thirteen original poems written between January and August 2008, accompanied by two photographs (one from the Hudson River; the other from Delton, Michigan at sunrise) which have been transferred to the covers of the book by the productive interface of heavy pressure and acetone, hand-bound with embroidery floss using a pamphlet stitch and a thick, sharp tapestry needle. D01 Losing Sight
Losing Sight is John Ross's most recent release under the name Gettysburg. Ross's soft deep voice accompanies his melodic piano and minimal guitar work. In this case his voice may possibly be the key ingredient to the music. Losing Sight begins with the song entitled How Long Was I Sleeping?, which is an engaging first impression of the album. The song You Don’t Think I’m a True Blue is one of the most gentle and beautiful tracks on the album. Over all Losing Sight embodies lo-fi pop in just the right way and although the album may be best listened to while relaxing in a serene setting, you will most likely be humming it to yourself where ever you are.
